Projects

1. Splash It

This project is a paint studio for village primary school students. There are two floors; the ground floor is used for painting on big canvases or cloth. The first floor is used for painting on smaller canvases and here, they work more individually. The canvases are attached against the wall and they can also paint while sitting down. On the terrace, they can paint while sitting down.

2. VERNER PANTON’S STUDIO

The main idea of this project is designing the furniture designer Verner Panton’s studio. After my research I found some important details about him and I created my main ideas for the place. I decided that I want to use an imaginary cube and use it in the style of Panton. I used Panton’s Fantasy Landscape and Visiona as a model and example. Here are some renders and images of it.

TWIST IT

This project is a post-disaster shelter project for earthquake victims mainly focusing on children. The main aim was to create an interior space inside a shelter where both childen and adults can be together but can be seperatly social with their peers. There is a ‘L’ shaped space made with perforated plywood plates designed as moduls. They are connected by rubber based ropes inside, so that the children can play in a ‘rope maze’ area. In this space there are also seperate moduls created for other games which children can create on their own. As for their parents and adults, there is a socializing and resting area also designed with a perforated and modulated system.

CLIMB! A SAND BOX PROJECT

This project aims to create a sandbox for children where they can be physically active. We focused on the functions of climbing and pushing. Timber structures were used to form the space. The timber beams are connected to the columns with rubber joints. These joints are movable and can be pushed either downwards or upwards. Children can push them wherever they want and create their own parkour around the sandbox.

Hustle and Bustle of Books is a bookstore brand. The main topic of the project is ‘media’. So it was decided that the project will focuse on one of the oldest and main form of media tools; books. The aim was to incorporate new technologies and co-working spaces so that the bookstore could function for and appeal to different types of customers: The spaces that is created work together-you can pick up a boom from the shelves and read it wherever you want according to your preference of atmosphere depending on sound and vitality of the space- but are also designed for specific functions like reading, chatting, drinking, studying etc.
